What data we collect and why

When you send an inquiry or a message through the form on the website, we collect your name, e-mail address, phone number (if you provide it) and the content of your message, in order to handle your request and to arrange and provide the accommodation.

Because of the legal obligation to register guests' stays (in the Republic of Croatia through the eVisitor system), on arrival the host asks to see a valid identity document of every guest and records the data required by law.

When the host issues an invoice, the host processes the data required by tax and accounting rules (for example name, address, amount and description of the service).

When you visit the website, the server processes basic technical data needed to display and secure it, such as your IP address and the date and time of access. The website does not charge for the accommodation, so it does not process payment card data.

If you allow it in the cookie settings, the website uses the analytics or marketing tools listed on the Cookies page. Those tools then process data about your visit (for example the pages visited and device data) and transfer it to their providers. They are not loaded without your consent.

If you accept analytics cookies, visit statistics are collected with Gazdarica analytics (Umami), run on the landlord's behalf as a processor by the provider of the Gazdarica platform on servers in the European Union. It records the pages visited, where the visit came from, the device type, browser, language and country. No cookies are set and the IP address is not stored; a visit is only recognised by a temporary pseudonymous identifier that changes every month. The data is used only for aggregate visit statistics of this website.

Legal bases of processing

We process data in order to take steps at your request and to perform the accommodation agreement, to meet legal obligations (registration of stay, issuing and keeping invoices), on the basis of legitimate interest (security of the website and prevention of misuse) and on the basis of the consent you give when submitting the form, which you can withdraw at any time.

Recipients of data

We share data only when necessary. Your message is received by the host by e-mail. The website runs on the Gazdarica platform, whose provider technically enables the website and the delivery of messages and processes the data for that purpose only. Data is provided to the competent authorities when the law requires it (for example for the registration of stay or to tax authorities) and, where needed, to persons who keep the host's business records. We do not sell data or pass it on to third parties for marketing.

Map

If you open the location map, your browser loads the map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which transfers your IP address to that provider.

Retention periods

We keep inquiry and booking data for as long as needed to perform the agreement and to handle possible complaints. Accounting documents are kept for the periods prescribed by law. Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until the consent is withdrawn or the purpose is achieved. Data on the registration of stay is kept in accordance with the regulations.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in the Republic of Croatia the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, azop.hr).

Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse of data. Only the host and persons processing data on the host's behalf, bound by confidentiality, have access to personal data.

Children and minors

Accommodation is booked by an adult. We process minors' data only to the extent needed for the registration of stay and the performance of the accommodation agreement.
